The Labor Holiday is coming. It is from April 29 to May 1. All the students need to be back to campus on May 1 and report to your monitor. All the monitors need to report the class status to student union chairman Nizam before 6pm on May 1. To ensure your safe, joyful and meaningful holiday, the International Education College (IEC) remind you to strengthen the awareness of safety and security. Here are a few notes:
1. When ordering traffic tickets, beware of unknown agencies. Do not transfer money or remit to unknown accounts.
2. Always pay attention to travel safety. Be especially vigilant at train stations, restaurants, shopping areas, and on public transportation.
3. Be prepared for the local situation and customs before going out. Know about the safety precautions, the weather alerts and the epidemic information especially.
4. In case of emergencies, be calm, observe the scene and find the right time to shelter and withdraw. Call the police whenever you need.
5. Pay attention to traffic safety. Avoid illegal traffic operations and stay in contact with partners on tour.
6. Beware of online insecurity and fabrication. Especially frauds in the forms of “lottery winning”, “Taobao refund”, “friends asked for remittances”, “online campus loans”, unknown QR cords, etc. Keep personal information and important documents in safety.
7. As the summer climate poses a fire hazard, beware of electric devices. Do not plug a bunch of stuff into one outlet or extension cord. Any flammables, including firecrackers, are prohibited in the dormitory.
8. Pay attention to weather alerts. When sheltering, stay away from high voltage equipments, construction sites and dangerous areas.
9. Beware of theft. Lock all the doors and windows before going out.
10. Do not organize unauthorized gathering or trip. Do not pray or conduct religious activities in public places, such as activity rooms.
11. Do not comment or forward any unconfirmed news or passages. Pay attention to your behavior online.
