To All International Students,
In accordance with the provisions of the Measures for the Enrollment and Training of International Students by Schools(Ministry of Education Decree No. 42 of 2017) jointly issued by three ministries including the Ministry of Education, Hubei Province International Student Scholarship Management Measures, and the Wuhan Textile University Student Management Regulations(WTU [2017] No. 5), and in combination with the actual situation of our university, the following requirements are hereby specified to ensure the quality of international student education:
I. For First-Year Postgraduate Students
1. Attendance and Leave: Students must strictly adhere to class attendance discipline, attend classes on time, and must not be absent, late, or leave early without valid reasons. If leave is necessary, approval must be sought in advance from the course instructor and the responsible college according to the prescribed procedures. Students with unauthorized absences exceeding one-third of the total course hours will be disqualified from taking the final assessment for that course. Cumulative unauthorized absences within one semester will lead to disciplinary actions: 10 class hours → warning; 20 class hours → serious warning; 30 class hours → recorded demerit; 40 class hours → disciplinary probation; 50 class hours → mandatory withdrawal or expulsion. Scholarship recipients will have their scholarships suspended for one year starting from the month of the disciplinary penalty. Students receiving a punishment of serious warning or above will not be granted a degree. Students needing to leave campus must submit the International Student Leave Application Form in advance and return to campus before the leave expiry date
2.Laboratory Safety: Before entering laboratories, students must familiarize themselves with safety protocols, adhere to operational procedures, and follow the instructions of supervising teachers to ensure orderly experimental work. Experiments must be conducted under the guidance of a supervisor or lab administrator with protective gear worn throughout. Unauthorized changes to experimental parameters are prohibited. After experiments, workbenches must be tidied, and water, electricity, and equipment must be shut down .
3.Coursework and Academic Foundations: Course papers must be completed independently, adhering strictly to course requirements regarding length and format. Students should actively participate in academic group meetings organized by their supervisors and report on their academic progress to their supervisor at least twice a month to identify and address knowledge gaps promptly.
II. For Second-Year Postgraduate Students
1.Coursework and Academic Engagement: Students must balance remaining specialized course studies with research tasks, completing required and elective courses as per the training scheme without unauthorized absences. They should actively participate in disciplinary frontier lectures and research group seminars at least twice per semester to stay abreast of academic trends and build theoretical foundations for their research.
2.Laboratory Research Norms: Laboratory work should be oriented towards the thesis research objectives. Weekly experimental plans should be developed in advance and confirmed by the supervisor. Students must strictly comply with laboratory safety management systems and equipment operating procedures, record experimental data accurately and in detail, and report progress to the supervisor weekly. Data falsification and violation of regulations are prohibited. Special instruments may only be used after passing an operational proficiency test
3.Thesis Writing Management: Thesis writing should commence formally. Students must discuss their progress with their supervisor at least twice monthly, clarifying phased tasks (such as finalizing the literature review, constructing the research framework, completing empirical analysis, etc.). Academic standards must be strictly followed. References must be clearly marked, and academic misconduct such as plagiarism and theft is strictly prohibited. Submit the initial draft of the thesis according to the school's specified time, cooperate with the supervisor to complete the revision and polishing, and ensure that the quality of the thesis meets the requirements for degree conferral.
4. Strictly adhere to program practice management: Conduct program practice in strict accordance with the specific requirements of the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau and the "Administrative Measures for Program Practice of Full-Time Master's Degree Candidates at Wuhan Textile University". If it is necessary to leave campus for practice, an application must be submitted one week in advance, and the practice period should not exceed three months. The practice unit must pass the verification of the supervisor, the training unit, and the School of International Education before the visa internship endorsement can be processed. During the practice period, it is not allowed to change the practice unit without authorization. If adjustments are indeed necessary, a written application must be submitted and approved by the on-campus supervisor and the college before processing. Students who leave campus without permission to conduct professional practice will be given corresponding sanctions according to relevant regulations.

Responsibility for expired documents due to personal negligence lies with the student.
3. It is strictly prohibited to forge or alter certificates, transcripts, academic materials, or practical materials. Once discovered, relevant qualifications (such as course assessment, thesis defense, practical assessment, degree application, etc.) will be cancelled. In severe cases, the student may be subject to withdrawal from the university.
4. Comply with the "Management Measures for International Student Dormitory Accommodation at Wuhan Textile University", keep the dormitory quiet after 23:00 every day, and do not make loud noises or play high decibel music to avoid affecting others' rest.
