Introduction to Wuhan Textile University

Wuhan Textile University is a comprehensive university founded in 1958. It is one of the top ten universities famous in Fashion in China and the university for ‘Education and Training Plan for Excellent Engineers’ of the Ministry of Education of China. It is located in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, covering an area of 135 hectares. It has over 20000 students, 2000 staff and 1000 full-time teachers.

Wuhan Textile University is a training unit of the Chinese Government Scholarship Project and the Silk Road Chinese Government Scholarship Project. It has established ties with more than 100 universities and institutions in more than 30 countries and regions. It is the first member of AUTEXT in China mainland, the member of the board of the U.K. Textile Institute and the U.S. Fiber Society, the initiative unit of ‘The Belt and Road' Association of Textile Higher Education, the alliance member of ‘The Belt and Road' World Textile University. It undertook the 89th Textile Institute World Conference, International Forum of Chinese Scientists in Textile Materials, First Sino-Russian University Forum in Hubei Province, 2017 China Textile Academic Conference, 2018 'The Belt and Road' Textile Higher Education Summit Forum, 2019 witnessed the establishment of the U.K. Textile Institute Wuhan Branch and China Regional Office and the webinar of ‘The Future Development of the Textile and Fashion Industry in the Post-Epidemic Era’ was held in 2020.

Non-Chinese citizens who are not over 30 years old (by September 1, 2021), have bachelor's degree or above, in good health and hold valid foreign general passports.

Application Documents

The applicant must fill in and upload the following application documents truthfully in the online Student Service System:

1.Application Form for International Student Admission for WTU. (automatically generated by the online system). It must be completed in English and the applicant should upload the scanning of his signature.

2.Bachelor Degree or pre graduation certificate with the official university stamp. (notarized copy or provisional graduation certificate is not acceptable).

(1) The graduates shall submit the Bachelor Degree.

(2) The graduating student in the final year shall first submit the pre graduation certificate and then submit Bachelor Degree before July 31, 2021.

3.University academic transcript with official stamps (notarized copy is not acceptable)

(1) Graduates shall submit the complete final transcript.

(2) The graduating student in the final year shall submit the transcript of the previous semesters and then submit the complete final transcript before July 31, 2021.

4. Valid Passport（general passport, valid date at least after December 31, 2021.It is better not to renew your passport while studying in China.）Please unfold your passport and scan the whole page as shown below.

5. Resume. Including Chinese level, important social activities, awards and honors, special skills, etc.

6. Study and Research plan. No less than 1000 words.

7. Foreigners’ physical examination forms filled in either Chinese or English（the form must be downloaded from the official website of the local Chinese Embassy）

8. Police Certificate of Non-criminal Record

Documents which are not in English or Chinese must be translated into Chinese with seals of your university or the notary office. All documents only need to be submitted online in soft copy.

After receiving all documents of the applicant, we will conduct qualification examination and inform the applicant to participate in the interview if necessary.

Scholarship

★Chinese Government Scholarship

1.Coverage of Scholarship

Exemption from tuition, accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance fee. 3000RMB stipend per month will be given.During the period of study, Wuhan Textile University will evaluate the CSC students annually based on their academic performance, scientific research, and extracurricular activities and report to China Scholarship Council.

2.Cost at Students’ Own Expenses

(1) Traveling Expenses, medical examination, residence permit application fee.

(2) The expense of apartment water, electricity, internet and bedding.

(3) Fees for teaching materials and different kinds of cards and certificates.

★Hubei Province International Students’Scholarship

(1)Coverage of Scholarship

Exemption from tuition and accommodation. Students with excellent moral character and academic achievements can enjoy the Special Scholarship of Wuhan Textile University.

★WTU President Scholarship

Coverage of Scholarship and Cost at Students’ Own Expenses are the same as Hubei International Students Scholarship. Students with excellent moral character and academic achievements can enjoy the Academic Scholarship of Wuhan Textile University.

Accommodation

The student apartment is a double room, which is arranged by the university. There are more than one campuses in Wuhan Textile University. Art Design Students live in Nanhu Campus, while the other students live in Sunshine Campus.

Apartment Facilities

1. Dorm: air conditioning, water heater.

Public area: refrigerator, electromagnetic oven, microwave oven, washing machine.

2 Internet: the dormitory can access the Internet 24 hours at the charge of telecommunication operators.

3. Hydropower: there is monthly quota for utilizing water and electricity and the surplus will be charged.

一、申请条件

年龄不超过30岁（截止2021年9月1日前），大学本科及以上学历，身体健康，持外国有效普通护照的非中国籍公民。

二、申请时间：2021年1月1日-2021年4月30日

三、申请程序

登录https://wtu.17gz.org/国际学生在线服务系统填写信息、上传申请资料。

注：申请者应随时关注个人账户，我们将根据需要与申请者联系。

四、申请材料

申请者必须在网上服务系统中如实填写和上传以下申请材料：

1.《武汉纺织大学国际学生入学申请表》（系统自动生成），须用英文填写，并上传申请者签名。

2.大学本科学位证或预毕业证明，须加盖学校公章（不接受公证件或印有provisional字样的学位证）。

（1）已毕业本科生提交本科毕业证书。

（2）如果申请者是毕业年级的学生，先提交预毕业证明，于2021年7月31日前再提交本科毕业证书。

3．大学本科阶段成绩单，须加盖学校公章（不接受公证件）。

（1）已毕业本科生提交本科阶段完整成绩单。

（2）如果申请者是毕业年级的学生，先提交已有的成绩单，于2021年7月31日前再提交完整成绩单。

4．护照（普通护照，有效期至少到2021年12月31日，最好在留学中国期间不需要再更新护照）。请打开护照照片页并扫描整页，如图所示：

5．简历。包括汉语水平、重要社会活动、各种奖项、特长等。

6．来华学习和研究规划。不少于1000字。

7．外国人体检表，须用中文或英文填写。（必须在中国驻当地使馆的官方网站下载）。

8．无犯罪记录证明。

注：

申请材料如为中英文以外文本，除原件外，还须附中文翻译件。所有材料仅要求在线提交电子扫描版。

六、录取选拔

我校收齐申请者的全部文件后会进行资格审查，必要时会提前通知申请者参加面试。

八、奖学金

★中国政府奖学金

1.资助内容

免收学费、住宿费、综合医疗保险费,每月发放生活费3000元。学习期间，学校每年将根据中国政府奖学金生的学习成绩、科研表现、课外活动情况等，对奖学金学生进行年度评审，上报国家留学基金委。

2.自费部分

（1）国际旅费、体检、居留许可申请费。

（2）公寓水、电、网络、床上用品，按用量付费。

（3）教材费及办理各类卡、证件等费用。

★湖北省外国留学生奖学金

1.资助内容

学生公寓为双人间，由学校统一安排。武汉纺织大学有多个校区，艺术设计类专业在南湖校区，其他专业在阳光校区。
